My introduction to Bhutan was filled with historical, religious, and cultural lessons about the people from the Land of the Thunder Dragon.  Our travel expert, Mr. Tandin Tshering, is the owner and operator of Bhutan Victorious.  He is a seasoned guide with over 10 years of guiding experience, and his English is superb.   

Mr. Tshering guided us through Paro, Thimphu, Punaka, Bhumtang, and Tansar.  Along the way, I observed how important and integral Buddhism is in the Bhutanese people’s daily lives and compared it to life in the United States where we seem to take so many things in life,for granted.  I appreciated how proud the people are of their history,and how important it is for them to preserve their culture.  Their intrinsic kindness made my journey an incredible and unforgettable one.  I left Bhutan relunctantly, wanting to stay longer and to experience more.  As I left this beautiful place, I reflected on the fact that although Bhutan is a small country on our planet Earth, the world has so much to learn from it, and I was one of the lucky one’s who had the opportunity to be there.  I’ll be back soon!
